And Then Life Happens

All great intentions start from a great place, but then sometimes life happens. Such is the case here at World By Autumn over the past week or so. I have been remiss about updating the blog or any content while life unfolded around me in the unexpected way it usually does. But that's okay - that's what makes the whole journey interesting.
Today I am back, thinking about life and travel - why we move around and why some of us cannot sit still. There's always the back-and-forth of "Oh, I should save and we will take that trip in retirement" vs "What if this is my last chance?". I, as you can probably imagine, am firmly in the latter camp. Drive to Alaska? What if it's my last chance? Order the $50 crab cakes? What if it is my last chance?
I think somewhere in the middle is probably the perfect blend of responsibility and indulgence, and it is something I am always searching for in my life. I think getting out and experiencing our world is a fundamentally important human experience - but it does not have to come in a colossal package with an even more colossal price tag. You don't have to cross oceans or even state lines to find something that will absolutely blow your mind - if your mind is open.
So come with me - let me show you how. All you need is bus fare and you can have an adventure. Let's do it together.
